The choice depends on how often the Mac is used for charts.

macOS: an installed platform or a browser tab
A Mac that is opened for charts most days repays the install. The application keeps its own window layout, saved templates and indicator setups between sessions, and it does not disappear when a browser tab is closed by accident or when the machine restarts after an update.
A Mac that is used for charts occasionally, or a MacBook that belongs to somebody else, argues for the browser. Nothing is written to the machine, the session ends when the tab is closed, and the same account is waiting on the next device that is signed in to.
Either route reaches the same account, so the two are not exclusive: an installed platform at home and a browser elsewhere is a common pattern. With South Africa at UTC+2, London opening mid-morning and New York in the mid-afternoon, the machine that happens to be free changes through the day anyway.
